Garter Stitch

 

This is the simplest of all stitch patterns made up of rows of knit stitches.

Cast on 20 stitches

 

The sequence is:

  1. Row 1: knit (all the stitches in this row)
  2. Row 2 and all following rows: Repeat Row 1
  3. Continue until you have completed approx. 20 rows.
  4. Cast Off.
  5. Cut yarn and pass through remaining stitch and draw tight to secure.
  6. Tidy up loose ends. Make a label.
