Saturday the 9th of June is International Knit in Public Day .

I received this message from Lauren who is a member of London Stitch n Bitch knitting club.

“Hurrah! What better time than this to get out there and show the world what you can do with your sticks and string? Shake off your shackles of shyness, air out your finest knitted garments, sharpen your most fabulous needles, get out in the open and purl in public (whether the public like it or not).

STITCHnBITCH London are doing it in style with the world’s most ambitious London Knit Crawl. From St Pauls to the Tate to the Eye and ending in our home from home Trafalgar Square with its lions. With lots of discount vouchers for Rowan and Jaegar Yarn, and also Innocent Smoothie vouchers and patterns to give away!

Grab your most portable project and join us knitting at some of London’s most famous landmarks. Come and knit at just one, or buy yourself a Travelcard and do them all. Soon all of London will submit to the knit!”
