that Bradford, England, had a thriving Alpaca industry in Victorian times?
During the mid 19th century the English textile merchant Sir Titus Salt discovered the qualities of Alpaca fibre. Queen Victoria wore dresses made from Alpaca cloth and did much to promote it. An alpaca coat was a 'must have' for every Victorian gentleman. Read more....
Ask the Knit Nurse..
I was looking at you 101 stitches DVD and wanted to do the Basket stitch and did not fully understand the direction for Row 2 and the following alternate rows, it says to knit the k's and purl the p's, I am not too sure as to what this instruction means. Can you please help me out on this one. View Answer Ask Question
